Applied Economics
The Applied Economics Business Unit aims at finding and implementing solutions for cases that require intensive economic analysis. The Applied Economics Business Unit uses sophisticated applied microeconomics and quantitative estimation techniques, as well as regulatory analysis.

The Applied Economics area has a multi-sector scope. It has developed strengths and experience in these sectors:

  Telecommunications;
  Energy: electricity, petroleum derivatives and natural gas;
  Transportation: ports, railroads, airports, highways, public transportation, logistics;
  Water and sanitation;
  Manufacturing sector: beverage, tobacco, cement, and textile.
  Agriculture and natural resources (fisheries, mining, forestry, water)
  Micro, Small, and Medium Entreprises (MSME);
  International Trade.

The Applied Economics Area have carried out assignments in Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, and Dominican Republic), South America (Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana, and Surinam), Asia (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) and Africa (Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia).
